Pantomime & Mime Movement
Posted on July 7, 2010PANTOMIME & MIME MOVEMENT: teens and adults can explore the basic skills of this classic art form for fun and performance: gesture and expression, character development, costume and make-up design for solo and ensemble.
Those who advance will be asked to join our newly formed MIME COMPANY, a community outreach program offering free performances to children’s hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, educational institutions and other non-profit organizations.
Students are encouraged to select their own music and themes to be well prepared from rehearsal through to performance. They will learn how to manage “touring” their selection for skits while they enjoy sharing their talents with the community.
