Burlesque Cabaret!
Posted on July 7, 2010Andrews Living Arts Burlesque Cabaret Show
“Old-Style,” Burlesque/Vaudeville is making a Come-Back as a “performing art” across the country. Melodies you grew up with, the jokes that never grow old, and the amazing talent of comedians, singers, dancers, magicians, and unique specialty acts. Younger audiences too are caught up in the excitement as they begin to recognize good entertainment from a “by-gone era.”
ANDREWS LIVING ARTS STUDIO, 23 NW 5th St. Fort Lauderdale, is bringing this unique form of entertainment back to downtown Fort Lauderdale, opening Aug. 25, 2010 and playing every Wed. and Thurs. at 8 PM through the fall. There will be faces on stage who are well known to the South Florida theatre community, and who will be headlining this tribute to a “by-gone” era.
Reminiscent of the days of George Burns, Jack Benny, Jackie Gleason, W.C. Fields, Red Skelton and Bob Hope, the ALA “BURLESQUE CABARET” is a sure-fire, fun night out. Bring your spouse, bring your partner, come alone! There’s something for everyone!
